LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) -- Crystal Kemp had 25 points and 13 rebounds
and Kansas used a 35-6 run to pull away from Oklahoma State for a
66-46 win Sunday.
The win snapped a three game losing streak for Kansas (13-3,
2-3), which had opened the season with 12 straight wins. Oklahoma
State (6-11, 0-6) shot just 34 percent from the field to remain
winless in the conference.
After trailing 15-7 midway through the first half, Kansas went
on a 23-6 run to end the first half. Then they started the second
half on a 12-0 run, holding Oklahoma State scoreless until the
Kemp made 8-of-14 shots and hit all nine of her free throws. It
was the eighth time in the last 10 games that Kemp scored 20
points. Erica Hallman had 14 points and Ivana Catic had 11 points
for Kansas, which shot 45 percent from the field.
Chrisian Hood, who came into the game averaging only 3.3 points
per game, led the Cowgirls with 14 points. Shaunte' Smith added 11
