LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) -- Jodi Bolerjack scored a career-high 25
points and Erin Hicks added 21, tying her season high, as Wyoming
beat conference rival Colorado State 87-80 in overtime Wednesday
The Cowgirls scored eight points in the last 15 seconds, tying
the game at 66 and forcing overtime. Wyoming (13-4, 3-3 Mountain
West Conference) then outscored Colorado State 21-14 in overtime to
secure the win.
Down 44-30 with 15:25 left, the Rams hit three 3-pointers during
a 20-6 run that gave them their first lead of the game, 56-55, with
3:19 to go.
Jodi Bolerjack answered for the Cowgirls, converting a
three-point play that put Wyoming back up 58-56 with 2:46 left.
Colorado State (7-10, 1-5) surged back with an 8-0 run that made
the score 64-58 with 30 seconds left and set up Wyoming's final
flurry before overtime.
The Rams were dominant inside, out-rebounding the Cowgirls
53-36. But Wyoming countered with defensive pressure, scoring 18
points off 19 forced turnovers.
Hanna Zavecz scored 18 points, and Dominique Sisk added 12 for
Melissa Dennett led Colorado State with 25 points and 14
rebounds before fouling out with 4:34 to go in overtime. Molly Nohr
scored 18 for the Rams, and Sara Hunter and Casie Shepherd added 11
and 10 respectively.
