Candice Dupree scored 20 points and Khadija Bowens added 17 for
the Owls (14-5, 5-2), who had a four-game winning streak
The Hawks led by as many as 12 points in the first half and took
a 36-26 advantage into the break. They still were ahead by 12
points two minutes into the second half before the Owls came
back, tying the game at 61-61 on a jumper by Kamesha Hairston
with 1:08 left.
Ffrench nailed two free throws with 56 seconds remaining to give
the hosts a 63-61 edge, but Hairston converted a three-point
play with 18 seconds to play, giving Temple its sole lead.
But Ffrench found Klimowicz for a layup with two seconds to go,
and Hairston missed a jumper as time expired.
