BOZEMAN (AP) -- Natalie Doma scored 31 points and Andrea
Lightfoot had 24 in Idaho State's 84-74 victory over Montana State
Idaho State (10-10, 4-2 Big Sky) jumped out to a 21-6 lead with
12:23 left in the first half on a jumper by Lightfoot, and built a
37-19 lead on a pair of free throws by Lightfoot with 4:02 left in
the half. Idaho State led 40-26 at halftime.
Montana State (2-16, 1-5) cut the deficit to 58-52 on a layup by
Nubia Garcia with 11:24 remaining.
The Bengals responded with a 7-0 run to secure the win.
Former Montana State player Joanna Hixon added 12 points and 13
rebounds for Idaho State.
Alyssa Nelson led the Bobcats with 15 points while Jenny
Heringer and Scotta Morton had 13 each. Garcia played in her first
Big Sky game after sitting out with a knee injury and posted eight
points, six rebounds, two steals and two blocks in 18 minutes of
The Bobcats outscored the Bengals 48-44 in the second half, but
made less than 10 percent of their 3-pointers.
The game featured 61 free throw attempts. Idaho State made
25-of-33 and MSU made 22-of-28.
