RENO, Nevada (Ticker) -- Reserve Aarica Ray-Boyd scored 18
points to lead 24th-ranked Louisiana Tech to a 72-57 triumph
over Nevada in Western Athletic Conference play.
Tasha Williams had 13 points, Shan Moore added 12 and Ty Moore
grabbed 13 rebounds for the Lady Techsters (15-4, 7-1 WAC), who
have won four straight and 10 of their last 11.
Louisiana Tech closed the first half by making 11 of its last 19
shot attempts and entered the break with a 35-26 advantage.
The Lady Techsters limited the Wolf Pack to just 24 percent
(6-of-25) shooting in the opening 20 minutes.
Amber Metoyer chipped in 10 points and six boards for Louisiana
Tech, which finished 44 percent (23-of-52) from the floor.
Jessica Preslar scored 13 points to pace Nevada (7-13, 3-5),
which shot just 29 percent (17-of-58) in the contest.
