Ray-Boyd's 29 lead Lady Techsters to 12th straight

LOGAN, Utah (Ticker) -- Aarica Ray-Boyd made sure Louisiana
Tech and Utah State continued to go their separate ways.

Ray-Boyd scored 29 points to lead the 24th-ranked Lady Techsters
to their 12th straight win, a 73-56 Western Athletic Conference
victory over the Aggies, who have dropped 11 of their last 12
games.

Connecting on 7-of-17 shots from the field, including 7-of-14
from the arc, Ray-Boyd was the only player for Louisiana Tech
(16-4, 8-1 WAC) to score in double figures.

Ty Moore contributed nine points and eight rebounds and Shan
Moore eight and seven for the Lady Techsters, who shot just 36
percent (23-of-63) and only led, 29-27, at the half.

But Louisiana Tech turned up the defense in the second half,
holding Utah State (1-17, 0-8) to 9-of-26 (34 percent) in the
final 20 minutes.

Jessica Freeman scored 18 points and Ashley Rutledge added 11
for the Aggies, who had only 10 assists against 29 turnovers in
dropping their fifth straight game.
