LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) -- LaToya Davis had 12 points and 14 rebounds
to lead Texas Tech past Oklahoma State 48-35 Wednesday night and
hand the Cowgirls their 11th straight loss.
The Lady Raiders (11-10, 6-4 Big 12) shot 35 percent in the game
and tied a season-low points, but still managed to get their eighth
straight home win.
In addition to their shooting woes, the Lady Raiders committed
16 turnovers, but the Cowgirls couldn't get any points off Tech's
OSU was held under 40 points for just the second time this
season after shooting 28 percent from the field and going 7-of-16
from the free throw line.
Catherria Turner scored 10 points for Oklahoma State (6-16,
0-11) and was the only Cowgirl player in double figures.
Erin Grant had 10 points for Texas Tech. Brooke Baughman added a
game-high eight assists.
The Cowgirls didn't get their first field goal in the second
half until the 13:53 mark, a drought of more than 11 minutes. But
Oklahoma State finished the game on a 14-6 run as Tech had taken
most of its starters off the court.
Oklahoma State also scored only one field goal in the final 10
minutes of the first half, and Tech led 26-15 at the break after
finishing the half on a 17-5 run.
