LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) -- Jodi Bolerjack scored 22 points, including
four 3-pointers, to lead Wyoming to a 59-52 win over New
Mexico (No. 19 ESPN/USA Today, No. 20 AP) on Wednesday.
The Cowgirls (17-6, 7-5 Mountain West Conference) led 31-28 at
halftime and outscored the Lobos 10-5 in a key stretch in the
second half to open up their biggest lead of the game at 50-41. New
Mexico (18-7, 8-4) went on a 7-3 run late to pull within 53-48, but
Bolerjack hit four free throws to help Wyoming hold on.
Hanna Zavecz had 18 points and six assists and Erin Hicks pulled
down nine rebounds for Wyoming.
Abbie Letz led New Mexico with 15 points while Katie Montgomery
Wyoming held New Mexico's leading scorer, Dionne Marsh, who had
been averaging 16.4 points per game, to just five points on 2-of-14
Wyoming has won five of its last seven games, while New Mexico
has lost three of its last five.
