Louisiana Tech posted a 72-59 victory over Boise State in
Western Athletic Conference play.
The Lady Bulldogs (20-4, 12-1 WAC) shot 44 percent (13-of-29)
from the floor as they held a slim 36-32 advantage at
intermission, despite the Broncos connecting on 5-of-11 from
3-point range.Louisiana Tech turned up the defense in the second half, holding
Boise State (13-12, 5-8) to a dismal 1-of-9 shooting from the
arc. The Lady Bulldogs made 10-of-24 (41 percent) after
halftime and held a 36-27 edge in points.Shan Moore scored 11 points and Tamika Kursh added eight for
Louisiana Tech, which scored 30 points in the paint while
collecting 28 off turnovers.Jackie Lee and Michelle Hessing scored 15 points apiece and
Jessica Thompson contributed 11 off the bench for the Broncos,
who shot 39 percent (23-of-58) overall.
