Portland State 88, Montana State 82

BOZEMAN (AP) -- Heather Arns scored 27 points and the Vikings
made 27-of-32 free throws as Portland State defeated Montana State
88-82 Thursday night in women's basketball.

Portland State (11-13 overall, 5-6 Big Sky) built a 29-23 lead
at the 5:11 mark, but Montana State answered back with a 15-7 run
to enter intermission tied at 38.

MSU (3-20, 2-9) took its largest lead at 47-42 with 16:50
remaining on a Nubia Garcia layup.

The score changed hands seven times before the Vikings took the
lead for good at 64-63 with 10:02 remaining on a Brianna Thompson
jump shot.

Montana State's Alyssa Nelson scored 25 points, Scotta Morton
had 15, and Jenny Heringer and Garcia each added 10.

Kelsey Kahle scored 19 points for Portland State. Thompson added
18, and Sharon Wahinekapu had 10.
