    Pluimer's 23 points, 11 rebounds drive No. 23 UCLA

    LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Lindsey Pluimer had 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead No. 23 UCLA to an 87-62 victory over UC Santa Barbara on Sunday.

    Pluimer went 8-for-12 from the field and made 6 of 7 free throws.

    Noelle Quinn had 13 points and six assists, Amanda Livingston added 12 points and Chinyere Ibekwe scored 11 for the Bruins (1-0).

    Jenna Green had 14 points for UC Santa Barbara (0-2) and Jordan Franey and Jessica Wilson scored 12 apiece.

    UCLA led by two with less than five minutes to play in the first half, but went on a 12-2 run all off free throws to take a 39-27 lead.

    Quinn made a pair of baskets in the final seconds of the half to put the Bruins up 43-31.

    UC Santa Barbara pulled within 11 early in the second half, but UCLA used an 11-1 run to take a 21-point lead, and the Gauchos got no closer than 19 the rest of the way.
