LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) -- Erin Myrick scored a career-high 20 points
and had 13 rebounds to lead Texas Tech to an 82-63 win over Texas
State on Sunday.
Tech (3-0) led the whole game and built a 21-point lead at 5:18
when Alesha Robertson hit a jumper to put Tech up 71-50.With just less than three minutes left in the game, Ashley Riley
closed the gap to 76-60.Three other Lady Raiders scored in double figures. Robertson
finished with 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Brooke Baughman
had 11 points and Chesley Dabbs added 14.Joyce Ekworomadu scored 22 points and Riley added 13 for the
Bobcats (1-3).Tech turned the ball over 22 times.Tech ended the half with on a 9-4 run to lead 45-30 .Former Lady Raider coach Marsha Sharp was honored for her
24-year career at halftime. About 50 former players, many who
played for Sharp, attended the game.
