AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- Tiffany Jackson had her fourth straight double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds to lead No. 25 Texas to a lopsided 84-56 win over Sam Houston State on Monday night.
Erika Arriaran scored a career-high 20 points and Katrina Robinson and Ashley Lindsey each added 10 points for Texas (4-1).
Erica Parker led the Bearkats (2-2) with 12 points. But Sam Houston State couldnt do anything to slow down the Longhorns, who shot 49 percent for the game.
Arriaran scored 10 of Texas' first 14 points and the Longhorns jumped out to a 16-0 lead to take control from the tip. Whitney Smith's 3-pointer with 14:44 remaining were the first points for the Bearkats.
The Longhorns went on a 20-2 run over the next 5 minutes to build a 36-5 lead with 8:58 left in the half and headed to the locker room with a 53-23 advantage.
The Bearkats forced the Longhorns into committing 16 of their season-high 28 turnovers in the second half. But they only converted those turnovers into 19 points.
Texas converted on 28-of-35 free throws and out-rebounded the Bearkats 49 to 30.
