EUGENE, Ore. (AP) -- Shavonte Zellous scored 28 points to lead
Pittsburgh to a 59-51 win against Utah in the Oregon Thanksgiving
Tournament on Friday.
Marcedes Walker added 12 points for the Panthers (5-0). Morgan
Warburton scored 23 to pace the Utes (1-3), who are off to a slow
start after advancing to the Elite Eight in last season's NCAA
Zellous scored nine points in the final 4:49, beginning with a
pair of free throws with the game tied 40-40. That sparked a
game-ending 19-11 run for Pittsburgh, which is a win away from
tying its best start ever.
Neither team shot well, with Pittsburgh hitting 40 percent of
its shots to 38 percent for the Utes. But the Panthers made
21-of-24 free throws, including 13 of 15 in the second half.
The game was delayed for five minutes early in the second half
when a bee flew into official Marianne Karp's shirt and stung her
