FREEPORT, Bahamas (AP) -- Jessica Morrow scored 14 points to help No. 15 Baylor hand South Dakota State its first loss of the season, 71-53 on Saturday in the Junkanoo Jam on Grand Bahama Island.

Angela Tisdale added 12 points and 10 assists for Baylor (6-1). Megan Vogel led South Dakota State (4-1) with 24 points.

Baylor star senior forward Bernice Mosby struggled, connecting on only one of her first nine shots, but still finished with 10 points in 16 minutes.

"Considering that we have nine freshman and sophomores and considering that we had five or six players with two fouls in the first half, I couldn't be prouder of my basketball team," Baylor coach Kim Mulkey said. "We never seemed to get too rattled. South Dakota State is a winning program, they're not going to go away. When you look at who they've beaten this year, we knew we'd have a game on our hands."

Tisdale was selected the tournament MVP for the Lucaya Division of the event.

"I think Angela gets the credit and blame from me on everything because of the position she plays," Mulkey said. "She's been in the system for three years now. She's one of the two we have that's been in a Final Four, that's won a national championship and she just stays steady for us out there on the floor."
