Quigley reaches 1,000 career points in DePaul victory

CHICAGO (AP) -- Missy Mitidiero scored 19 points and DePaul (No. 20 ESPN/USA Today; No. 19 AP) beat Northern Illinois 71-68 on Saturday night.

Mitidiero went 5-for-8 from 3-point range and Allie Quigley
scored 16 to go over 1,000 points for her career for DePaul.

The Blue Demons (3-1) led 52-40 with 10:57 remaining, but had to
rally when Northern Illinois went ahead 66-64 with 1:23 left on a
basket by Jessie Wilcox.

Mitidiero then hit her fifth 3 to get the lead back for DePaul.
After a Huskies miss, Quigley converted a layup to make it 69-66.

Stephanie Raymond made 3-of-6 from beyond the arc and scored 25
points for the Huskies (2-2). She also had six assists.

Erin Cattell had 14 points and 14 rebounds and Caprice Smith
finished with 13 points and 13 boards for the Blue Demons.
