Fresno St. builds lead, hangs on to upset Texas Tech

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) -- Tierre Wilson scored 20 points and
Chantella Perera had 17 points and six assists in Fresno State's
74-65 upset of Texas Tech (No. 23 ESPN/USA Today; No. 25 AP) on Friday night.

Wilson hit three 3-pointers and Jenny Thigpin added 10 points
for the Bulldogs (4-2), who improved to 3-0 at home and snapped a
two-game losing streak. Fresno State hung on with a second-half
rally against the Red Raiders (6-2), who stumbled after making
their first appearance in the poll Monday following three
consecutive wins.

Erin Myrick had 21 points and nine rebounds, and Alesha Robinson
had 17 points and a career-high 17 rebounds for the Red Raiders,
who made less than 40 percent of their shots.

Texas Tech plays at No. 15 Stanford on Sunday.
