MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) -- University of Montana women's basketball coach Robin Selvig recorded his 650th victory Saturday as the Lady Griz beat Portland 74-54.

Mandy Morales led Montana (5-1) with a career-high 29 points, while Dana Conway had her first career double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

"I'm just glad we won this one," Selvig said. "I've been fortunate to have had a lot of special teams over the years, and I appreciate that the school made a big deal out of it (with a post-game presentation)."

Selvig ranks 10th among active Division I women's basketball coaches in career victories, while his .775 career winning percentage (650-189) ranks eighth.

The teams battled through a tight first half that had eight ties before Montana was able to take a 32-28 lead to the locker room. The Lady Griz opened the second half on an 11-4 run, with Conway scoring nine of UM's 11 points.

Montana would go on to outscore the Pilots 42-26 over the final 20 minutes.

Allyson Sievers had 13 points and eight rebounds for Portland (4-4). Laiken Dollente had 11 points and Laura Thomas 10.
