    PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) -- Freshman forward Marisa Stotler, making her first start, led Washington State with 24 points, 14 rebounds and five steals in a 76-70 win over Eastern Washington on Saturday afternoon.

    Stotler scored 12 points during a 16-0 run that gave Washington State (2-5) a 67-60 lead with 4:35 to go.

    Kate Benz scored 11 points for WSU, and reserve Nakejia Kelly scored all 10 of her points in the first half. Joanna Chadd scored 15 of her 23 points in the first eight minutes of the second half for Eastern Washington (3-5).

    Chadd finished 5 for 13 from 3-point range. Reserve Ashley Knight added 14 points (12 in six minutes of playing time in the first half) for Eastern. Phynique Allen scored 12.

    The Eagles, who have lost five straight after a 3-0 start, led most of the game. Washington State pulled within one point at 34-33 at the half, but Chadd scored the last five points in a 9-0 run that pushed Eastern Washington ahead 45-36 at 16:39 of the second half.

    The Cougars outrebounded the Eagles 46-40, including 19-9 on the offensive glass. Stotler, who leads WSU with 12.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game, led all players with six offensive rebounds to help the Cougars snap a three-game losing streak.
