Kenan Cole and Sarah-Jo Lawrence had 13 points apiece, and Kimberly Beck and Jessica Adair each scored 12 for George Washington. Stony Brook led 23-12 midway through the first, but Lisa Steele, Lawrence and Cole hit 3-pointers to spark a 19-6 run by the Colonials, who led 31-29 at the break.

The Seawolves stayed with George Washington early in the second half, but the Colonials pulled away on six straight fast-break points, opening a 55-45 lead midway through the half.
