PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) -- Kia Vaughn was 12-of-16 from the field and finished with a career-high 27 points to lead Rutgers (No. 21 ESPN/USA Today; No. 19 AP) to a 76-51 victory over Princeton on Saturday night.
Vaughn also had 10 rebounds as the Scarlet Knights (3-4) ended a tough week by breaking a two-game losing streak. Rutgers dropped an 85-45 decision to No. 4 Duke on Monday night and fell 87-73 to DePaul (No. 20 ESPN/USA Today; No. 18 AP) on Thursday night.Epiphanny Prince added 19 points and Matee Ajavon had 14 for Rutgers, which hit 52.5 percent of its shots and outrebounded Princeton 34-26.Meagan Cowher had 16 points for the Tigers (3-6), who were stymied by Rutgers' defense for most of the night and went just 35.6 percent from the floor while committing 23 turnovers.
