LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Chauntise Wright had 21 points and seven rebounds to lead Louisville (No. 14 ESPN/USA Today, No. 16 AP) to an 80-51 victory over Belmont on Saturday night.
Helen Johnson scored 14 points in her first game since serving a five-game suspension for violating team rules. Angle McCoughtry added 13 points and eight rebounds for the Cardinals (11-0).
Shaunda Strayhorn led Belmont (7-3) with 12 points. Scoring leader Alysha Clark managed just nine points, seven below her season average.
The Cardinals shot 44 percent from the floor while holding Belmont to 30 percent.The Bruins turned the ball over 23 times, leading to 24 Louisville points.
Thirteen Cardinals played and 10 scored as Louisville continued the best start in school history. Louisville has won 12 straight at Freedom Hall and is 32-2 at home over the last three seasons.
