Rutgers 70, Iowa 53

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) -- Freshman guard Epiphanny Prince led Rutgers with 18 points, and Kia Vaughn and Brittany Ray scored 16 and 14 respectively as the Scarlet Knights defeated Iowa 70-53 on Saturday night.

The Scarlet Knights took the lead early in the game, and they kept it. The victory allowed Rutgers (5-4) to extend its winning streak to three games.

Prince shot 6-for-12, Vaughn shot 6-for-13, and Ray shot 4-for-8.

At 19 points, sophomore center Megan Skouby was the top scorer for the Hawkeyes, shooting 5-for-9 from the field.
