LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) -- Freshman Kelly Kohn hit five three-pointers and had a career high 19 points as Kansas ended a three-game losing streak by defeating visiting Santa Clara 78-68 on Sunday.

It was the seventh game in a row that a freshman has led Kansas (5-4) in scoring and the fifth game in double-figures for Kohn, who went 6-for-9 from the field and also pulled down a team-high five rebounds.

The 78 points was a season-high for the Jayhawks, who shot 56 percent from the field and held their opponent under 100 points for the 347th consecutive game.

Santa Clara (6-6) shot 52 percent from the field but committed 23 turnovers that led to 28 Kansas points. The Bronco's out-rebounded Kansas 27-26 and hit eight three-pointers but never got closer than within 10 during the second half.

Marija Zinic had 13 points and LaChelda Jacobs and Shaquina Mosley each had 12 for Kansas, who will now travel to Indiana on Thursday to play their third Big 10 team of the non-conference season.

Chandice Cronk, Santa Clara's leading scorer at 17.6 points per game, had no points in the first half but finished with 16 points on six-of-nine shooting. She had made 44 three-pointers on the season coming in, but hit only one on Sunday.

Ashley Graham, the Bronco's all-time most accurate three point shooter at 44.2 percent for her career, went 4-for-7 from behind the three-point line and had a team high 20 points for Santa Clara.
