SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Joh-Teena Filipe scored a career-high 24 points as the University of Utah women's basketball team defeated Montana State 66-63 on Monday night.

Morgan Warburton added 14 points for Utah (6-5), which led 25-19 at halftime. She and Filipe were the only Utah players in double figures.

A pair of free throws from Hennasea Tokumura gave the Utes a six-point halftime lead.

Montana State's Brandie Buckless pulled the Bobcats within 38-35 with a 3-pointer with 13:27 left in the game. The Utes answered with a 9-2 run, sparked by four points from Filipe. That spurt gave Utah its biggest lead of the night, 47-37.
