TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Cameo Hicks scored 18 points as Washington beat Arizona 83-66 Thursday night for its ninth consecutive victory.

Hicks scored at least 17 points for the seventh straight game as the Huskies (12-4) went to 5-0 for the first time in Pac-10 play since the 1987-88 season.

After Arizona (6-10, 0-4) cut a 16-point deficit to six with 8:17 to play, Hicks had consecutive driving lay-ins and Dominique Banks added a put-back to give Washington a 66-54 lead with 5:27 remaining.

Andrea Plouffe, who had 12 points, hit a three-pointer with 2:50 left to make it 75-62 and secure the Huskies' victory.

Joy Hollingsworth had a career-high 31 points for the Wildcats, who lost for the seventh time in eight games. They are off to their worst Pac-10 start in 15 years.
