Montana 92, Eastern Wash. 55

MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) -- Tamara Guardipee scored a career-high 18
points to lead the University of Montana women's basketball team to
a 92-55 victory over Eastern Washington on Saturday.

It was Montana's 11th consecutive win.

The Lady Griz (14-1, 2-0) shot 41.9 percent in the first half,
taking a 47-22 lead into intermission.

Including Guardipee, UM finished with five players in double
figures. Britney Lohman scored 13 points, Mandy Morales and Sonya
Rogers both had 11, and Laura Cote added 10.

Morales scored all 11 points at the line. She also added a
team-high five assists and two steals. Guardipee grabbed 10
rebounds to secure her second consecutive double-double.

Joanna Chadd was the lone Eastern Washington player to reach
double figures, finishing with 12 points. Sydney Benson had nine
points and 12 rebounds, while Tara Holgate added eight points and
10 rebounds.

Eastern Washington (6-9, 1-1) shot 19.4 percent in the first
half, 21.6 percent in the second half and 20.5 percent for the
game. Montana shot 41.2 percent in the second half and 41.5 percent
for the game.
