Honegger's double-double powers Bowling Green win

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) -- Liz Honegger had 17 points and 10 rebounds in No. 18 Bowling Green's 75-52 victory over Kent State on Wednesday night.

Carin Horne also scored 17 points for the Falcons (13-2, 3-0 Mid-American). Ali Mann added 13 points and reserve Amber Flynn had 10 points and five rebounds.

The Golden Flashes (6-8, 2-1) were within one with 12:58 left in the first half, but a layup by Flynn opened a 24-4 Bowling Green run over the next eight minutes.

Mann, Honegger and Horne each had 3-pointers in the surge for the Falcons, who went 9-for-20 from beyond the arc for the game. Kent State made 3-of-12 3-point attempts.

La'kia Stewart had 11 points and 12 rebounds for Kent State, and Kristin Peoples scored 10 points.
