Minnesota 65, Northwestern 63

EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) -- Emily Fox, taking advantage of a
Northwestern mistake in the final seconds of the game, drained a
15-foot jumper as time expired Thursday to give Minnesota a 65-63

Northwestern's Sara Stutz had tied the game with 28 seconds to
play, and Minnesota's Brittany McCoy missed a jumper from the
free-throw line on the Gophers' next possession. But the next few
moments went the Gophers' way.

The Wildcats' Melissa Miller snared the rebound after McCoy's
missed shot -- then lost control of the ball. Fox grabbed the loose
ball, took two dribbles and fired the winning shot.

Ashley Ellis-Milan scored a career-high 21 points and grabbed
ten rebounds to lead the Gophers (11-6, 3-2 Big Ten). McCoy added
13 points and Korinne Campbell chipped in eight points and eleven
rebounds off the bench.

For Northwestern (6-11, 0-4) Stutz, Miller and A.J. Glasauer
each scored 14 points.
