USC 75, UCLA 72

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Chloe Kerr scored 19 points and Shay Murphy
made seven of eight free throws in the final minute as USC beat
UCLA 75-72 Saturday.

Morghan Medlock scored nine of her 11 points in the first 11
plus minutes of the second half to give the Trojans (10-7, 4-3
Pac-10) a 13-point lead, and USC held off a late Bruin rally for
the win.

Noelle Quinn led UCLA (9-10, 3-4) with 17 points, 10 assists and
nine rebounds, and Chinyere Ibekwe scored 16 points.

Shaina Zaidi made a 3-pointer with 8 seconds to go to cut the
Trojan lead to three, and the Bruins stole the ball back on the
subsequent inbounds pass, but Quinn missed a 3-pointer at the
buzzer that would have sent the game to overtime.
