WACO, Texas (AP) -- Bernice Mosby scored 29 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Baylor (No. 12 ESPN/USA Today; No. 13 AP) to a 79-70 win over Kansas State (No. 25 AP) on Saturday.
Latara Darrett added 15 points for the Lady Bears (16-3, 3-2 Big 12), while Jessica Morrow had 14 and Angela Tisdale 12.Shana Wheeler's jumper pulled the Wildcats (14-4, 2-3) to within two points at 72-70 with just under three minutes remaining.But Kansas State never scored again, and Morrow's 3-pointer put the Lady Bears ahead 77-70 with a 1½ minutes left to play. Darrett's pair of free throws sealed the win with 33 seconds remaining.Claire Coggins and Shalee Lehning led the Wildcats with 20 points each.A 3-pointer by Kimberly Dietz put the Wildcats in front 37-35 with 3½ minutes left before halftime.
