Givens erupts for 33 points to lift No. 20 Middle Tenn.

LITTLE ROCK (AP) -- Chrissy Givens scored 33 points to lead 20th-ranked Middle Tennessee to a 75-62 Sun Belt Conference victory over Arkansas-Little Rock Saturday afternoon.

The victory was the 14th straight for the Blue Raiders (17-3, 9-0 SBC), who are unchallenged atop the league's Eastern Division.

Givens was aided offensively by Amber Holt with 13 points and Krystle Horton with 10 points.

UALR (12-8, 5-5) lost its fourth straight game, but did challenge the Blue Raiders in the second half. The Trojans, who trailed 37-24 at halftime and by 20 in the second half, got as close as 10 in the final 10 minutes of the game.

MTSU, the top 3-point shooting team in the Sun Belt, hit just 6-of-23 3-pointers in Saturday's contest, though they shot 46 percent -- 29-of-63 -- overall.

The Trojans were led by Anshel Cooper with 20 points. Kim Sitzman added 18 and Renee Renz scored 11. UALR hit 20-of-44 field-goal attempts and 20-of-25 free throws, but suffered 10 more turnovers than MTSU.
