Georgia uses late 13-0 run to beat Florida State

    AP Sports Writer

DULUTH, Ga. (AP) -- Tasha Humphrey sparked a late 13-0 run and No. 16 Georgia rallied for a 70-65 win over Florida State on Sunday.

Humphrey, playing with four fouls, finished with 25 points for the Lady Bulldogs (16-4). She scored 10 points during the run to help Georgia turn a 60-50 deficit into a 63-60 lead.

Angel Robinson added 16 points for Georgia.

Shante Williams led Florida State (15-4) with 19 points, including 15 in the second half. Tanae Davis-Dain scored 13 points, all in the first half, and Mara Freshour added 11.

Florida State's biggest lead was 29-14 late in the first half.

Humphrey scored the first seven points of the game before Florida State got going.

Only two games after being held to a season-low 18 first-half points in a 52-41 loss to Tennessee, Georgia trailed Florida State 33-21 at halftime. The Lady Bulldogs, 2-for-13 on 3-pointers, made only 24.7 percent of their shots from the field.

Florida State led 37-28 with 14:47 left to play when Humphrey left with her fourth foul. The Seminoles stretched the lead back to 13 points before Georgia began its comeback with Humphrey still on the bench.

A basket by Robinson cut the Seminoles' lead to 49-45, but Florida State stretched the advantage back to 10 points at 60-50.

Humphrey, who returned with 6:44 left to play, scored on three straight possessions as Georgia pulled even at 60-all. Hardrick followed with a layup for the Lady Bulldogs' first lead since early in the game.
