DEKALB, Ill. -- Ali Mann scored 23 points and added 16 rebounds to lead Bowling Green (No. 17 ESPN/USA Today; No. 18 AP) to an 85-76 victory Saturday over Northern Illinois.
Mann finished 9-for-14 from the field and had nearly half of her team's 39 rebounds. Kate Achter scored 22 points and Carin Horne had 12 points for the Falcons (22-2, 11-0 Mid-American Conference).
Bowling Green took a 42-34 halftime lead and held on for the win at the Convocation Center. The Falcons shot 50 percent, and the Huskies (15-8, 6-5) were at 43 percent.
Stephanie Raymond led the Huskies with 23 points, including four 3-pointers. Mary Basic made four of six 3-point attempts to finish with 18 points, Kylie York added 12 and Kristin Weiner had 10 points for Northern Illinois.
The Huskies hit 11 of 24 3-point attempts and nine of 10 foul shots in the loss.
