    JMU rolls over Northeastern for 16th straight win

    BOSTON, Mass. -- Meredith Alexis had 25 points and 13 rebounds to lead No. 25 James Madison past Northeastern 71-57 on Sunday.

    Lesley Dickinson made five 3-pointers and finished with 15 points for James Madison (24-2, 15-0 Colonial Athletic Association), which has won 16 straight games.

    Shaleyse Smallwood led Northeastern (4-22, 3-12) with 21 points, going over 1,000 points for her career.

    Alexis went 11-of-20 from the field and finished with her 59th career double-double for the Dukes, who outrebounded Northeastern 50-27.

    James Madison shot 47 percent from the field, compared to 36 percent for Northeastern.

    Tamera Young added 10 points and nine rebounds for the Dukes, who led 40-22 at halftime.
