WACO, Texas (AP) -- Angela Tisdale scored 16 points and keyed two big runs for No. 13 Baylor in a 76-39 victory over Texas-Pan American on Thursday night.
Danielle Wilson led Baylor with 21 points on 9-of-13 shooting with seven rebounds, and had 14 of her points by halftime. Jessika Bradley had 10 points for the Lady Bears, who shot 57 percent (30-of-53) from the field.
Tisdale had consecutive steals that she turned into layups in less than a minute, and then added a 3-pointer in a 19-0 first-half spurt that gave Baylor a 25-4 lead.
After halftime, Tisdale opened with another 3-pointer, and by the time Baylor's lone senior made another 3-pointer and had a steal for another fastbreak jumper with 15:15 left, the Lady Bears (4-0) had scored 14 straight points to stretch their advantage to 53-25.
Texas-Pan American, playing its season opener, had six turnovers and missed six shots in that nearly six-minute scoreless span to start the second half before Tamara Vaughn made a jumper. Vaughn had 14 points and was the only Pan Am player to score in double figures.
The Lady Bears have won their first four games by an average margin of 43 points, including victories over Howard, Saint Mary's and Prairie View. They get their first real test in their next game, a Nov. 25 home game against No. 12 California.
