CHICAGO (AP) -- Allie Quigley scored 21 points and No. 24 DePaul beat Florida International 89-77 in the opening game of the DePaul Invitational on Thursday night.
Deirdre Naughton added 18 points for the Blue Demons, who forced 27 turnovers and beat a non-conference opponent at home for the 21st straight time.
LaQuetta Ferguson scored a career-high 30 points for the Golden Panthers (1-1), including 27 in the second half to keep Florida International close.
Felicia Chester scored 12 points for DePaul, which raced to a 38-23 lead with 3:20 left in the first half.
The Blue Demons (2-0) will play No. 18 Florida State on Friday night. FSU and FIU will wrap up the tournament on Saturday.
