TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Mara Freshour scored 25 points to lead shorthanded Florida State (No. 21 ESPN/USA Today, No. 20 AP) past Fordham 77-42 on Tuesday.
Freshour scored Florida State's first 10 points, and finished 10-of-13 from the floor, including 5-of-7 from the 3-point line.
Tanae Davis-Cain added 16 points, and Jacinta Monroe scored 15 and pulled down seven rebounds for the Seminoles (4-1). They shot 54 percent from the field, and held the Rams (0-4) to 27 percent.
Florida State played without starting center Britany Miller, who sat out with a sprained right ankle, and Monroe was limited to 20 minutes due to the flu.
Annie Zopf's 3-pointer with 9:42 left in the first half pulled the Rams to 17-11, but the Seminoles outscored Fordham 23-9 over the final nine minutes and led 40-20 at halftime.
Fordham was led by Zopf, who scored 10 points. Beth Troutt added nine, all in the second half.
