COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Whitney Boddie, Sherell Hobbs and Alli Smalley combined to outscore Winston-Salem in Auburn's (No. 25 ESPN/USA Today, No. 24) 70-37 victory at the Buckeye Classic.
Auburn (5-0) scored the game's first 11 points, thanks to a pressure defense that caused six turnovers and rushed Winston-Salem into missing its first five shots. The Tigers held a 37-19 halftime advantage and expanded their lead to 36 in the final minute of the game.
Boddie had 13 points and nine rebounds, Hobbs had 13 points and eight rebounds, and Smalley came off the bench to add 12 points and four assists for Auburn.
Talneshia Kee led Winston-Salem (0-3) with nine points. The Lady Rams committed 31 turnovers and shot 23.1 percent (12 of 52) from the field.
The Tigers will play Ohio State (No. 16 ESPN/USA Today, No. 15 AP) in the tournament's title game Sunday.
