AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- Brittainey Raven had 16 points and a career-high nine rebounds to lead Texas past Texas-Arlington 76-60 Thursday night.
Earnesia Williams finished with 11 points and tied a career high in rebounds with eight for Texas (No. 25 ESPN/USA Today, No. 24 AP). Ashley Lindsey scored 14 points and Carla Cortijo had seven assists and 12 points.
It was the fifth time in seven games that the Longhorns (5-2) had four players or more earn double digits in scoring. Tamara Simmons led UTA with 11 points.
Lindsey paced the Longhorns' defense with four blocks, and Texas outrebounded the Mavericks 50-46. The Longhorns dominated the low post with 36 points in the paint.
