Wyoming holds off Montana with 19-2 run in second half

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) -- Hanna Zavecz scored 19 points and had seven assists to help lead Wyoming (No. 24 ESPN/USA Today, No. 25 AP) to a 65-54 victory over Montana on Thursday night.

Justyna Podziemska added 15 points, and Aubrey Vandiver had 10
points and 10 rebounds for Wyoming (5-0).

The Cowgirls, who opened the game with three straight
3-pointers, led 32-25 at the break. They went on a 19-2 run to take
a 57-42 lead with 5:14 remaining after the Lady Griz took their
only lead of the game on a Lauren Beck 3-pointer midway through the
second half.

Montana (3-3) rallied late in the game with a 10-4 run but never
got closer than nine points down.

Britney Lohman led Montana with 14 points and seven rebounds.
Beck added 12 points.
