COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Freshman center Jantel Lavender scored 14 points and had a game-high 12 rebounds to lead No. 20 Ohio State (No. 21 AP) to a 66-42 win over Michigan on Thursday night.
The Buckeyes (10-3, 1-1 Big Ten) rebounded from Sunday's loss at Michigan State by going on a 16-5 run to open the second half, pushing their lead over the Wolverines to 29 points with 11 minutes remaining.
Ashlee Trebilcock scored 13 points, Tamarah Riley had 12 and Marscilla Packer added 11 for Ohio State.
Jessica Minnfield led Michigan (8-4, 1-1) with 18 points. The loss snapped the Wolverines' four-game winning streak.
Michigan shot 14-of-53 (26 percent) from the floor and made two of 13 3-point attempts while the Buckeyes made 28-of-61 field goals (46 percent).
