    George Washington increases record vs. Dayton to 23-0

    WASHINGTON (AP) -- Kimberly Beck scored 18 points, including 10 straight in the second half, to lead George Washington (No. 13 ESPN/USA Today, No. 16 AP) to a 81-73 win over Dayton on Tuesday night.

    George Washington (17-4, 5-1 Atlantic 10) has never lost to Dayton (17-5, 3-3), holding a 23-0 all-time series lead. It was George Washington coach Joe McKeown's 499th career victory.

    Jessica Adair added 17 points and Antelia Parrish and Sarah-Jo Lawrence had 15 each for the Colonials.

    Kendel Ross led Dayton with 16 points. Brittany Holterman added 14, Nikki Oakland 13 and Kiki Lund 11.

    George Washington used an advantage inside to outlast Dayton. The Colonials held a 41-29 rebounding edge in the game, including a 19-9 advantage on the offensive boards.

    Dayton made a late push. The Flyers' Brittany Holterman hit a 3-pointer with 2 1/2 minutes left to make the score 73-70. George Washington's Jazmine Adair answered with a three-point play, making an inside shot and drawing Oakland's fifth foul of the game with 2 minutes left. The play started an 8-1 run for the Colonials as they closed out the win.

    Beck gave George Washington a large lead early in the second half, scoring 10 straight points at the end of a 16-2 Colonials run. She started with a basket in the lane, hit consecutive 3-pointers from opposite sides of the floor and capped the run with a floater at the free-throw line. When she was done, George Washington had a 56-41 lead with 14 minutes to play.
