Syracuse stops DePaul behind Murray's 17 points

CHICAGO (AP) -- Vionca Murray scored 17 points to lead No. 22 Syracuse to a 69-66 win over DePaul (No. 24 ESPN/USA Today, No. 23 AP) on Tuesday night.

Syracuse (17-3, 5-2 Big East) led by nine points with 3:49 left in the game before DePaul rallied to tie the game at 66 on Allie Quigley's free throw with 37 seconds left.

Chandrea Jones' putback with 12 seconds left gave Syracuse a two-point lead. Nicole Michael added a free throw with two seconds left to seal the win.

Erica Morrow added 15 points, including three 3-pointers, for Syracuse. Jones finished with 12 points and Michael had 11 points for the Orange, who led 37-35 at halftime.

Deirdre Naughton had a game-high 20 points for DePaul (15-5, 4-3). Missy Mitidiero and Felicia Chester each added 13 points and Quigley added 12 points for the Blue Demons.
