NEW YORK (AP) -- Ta'Shia Phillips had 19 points and 10 rebounds to help Xavier beat Fordham 65-42, dropping the Rams to 0-26 on the season.
Fordham is two losses short of tying the NCAA women's record for futility in a season. Charleston went 0-28 in 1991 and Centenary was 0-28 in 2000. The Rams have three games left in their season. They are at Temple on Saturday, host Charlotte next Wednesday and then finish the season at No. 17 George Washington on March 1.
Fordham (0-26, 0-11 Atlantic 10) last won on Feb. 4, 2006, beating Duquesne. The Rams have lost 31 straight games, well short of the NCAA mark of 58 set by Long Island University from 1987-89.
Xavier (19-7, 9-2) jumped over Fordham early. Leading by three 4 minutes into the game, the Musketeers used a 33-8 run over the next 12 minutes to take a 44-16 advantage with 3:51 left before the break. Xavier went into the half up 48-20 and never looked back.
Fordham would get no closer than 22 the rest of the game.
Megan Mahoney led the Rams with 11 points.
