PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Fordham fell to 0-27 with a 65-46 loss to Temple on Saturday, dropping the Rams one win shy of the all-time record for futility in a season.

Centenary set the women's basketball record when it went 0-28 in 2000. Fordham (0-27, 0-12 Atlantic 10) could tie the record when it faces Charlotte on Wednesday.

"Our kids are working tremendously hard to get a win," Fordham coach Cathy Andruzzi said. "We're in a league that's very competitive in a program that doesn't have a winning tradition. We're trying to change that."

The Rams have lost 32 straight since their last win on Feb. 4, 2006.

Fordam fell behind before the opening tip against Temple. The Owls (17-11, 10-2 Atlantic 10) took a 1-0 lead courtesy of Fordham's technical foul for not submitting the starting lineup on time.

Fordham will travel Saturday to Washington, D.C., where the Rams could break the record against George Washington.
