EL PASO, Texas (AP) -- Kasia Krezel scored 13 points and Natasha Lacy had 12 to lead UTEP (No. 23 ESPN/USA Today, No. 19 AP) to a 65-50 victory over Tulsa on Saturday, increasing the Miners' Conference USA-record winning streak to 21 games.
UTEP (25-2, 16-0) became the first women's team to go through the conference regular season unbeaten, holding Tulsa scoreless for more than six minutes in the first half in building a 35-15 lead by the break.
UTEP shot 50 percent from the field in the first half.
ReShawndra Jackson scored 19 points to lead the Golden Hurricane (10-19, 6-10). Chanel Johnson scored 11 and Larissa Williams added 10.
Tulsa outscored UTEP 35-30 in the second half and closed the margin to 11 points with 4:55 left in the game, but a 3-pointer and jumper by Krezel on consecutive possessions pushed the Miners' lead to 16 points with 3:19 left.
