Michigan State stomps Old Dominion, improves to 6-0

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Lauren Aitch had 14 points and eight rebounds off the bench to help Michigan State pull away from Old Dominion (No. 20 ESPN/USA Today, No. 23 AP) 74-48 on Wednesday night.

Mia Johnson had 13 points, all in the first half, and Kalisha Keane added 10, all after halftime, as the Spartans moved to 6-0 for just the third time in school history.

Freshman Courtney Schiffauer added 10 points for Michigan State, which trailed 27-26 with 1:44 left in the first half.

The Spartans scored the last seven points before the break and then raced to take a 31-point lead with 6:10 left in the game.

The Monarchs (3-2) were led by Tiffany Green's 11 points.

Michigan State travels to face Notre Dame (No. 10 ESPN/USA Today, No. 14 AP) on Saturday afternoon.
