FULLERTON, Calif. -- Christina Wirth made all six of her 3-pointers and scored a career-high 27 points, leading No. 16 Vanderbilt to a 83-67 victory over Cal State Fullerton on Thursday night.
Hannah Tuomi scored 17 points and Jennifer Risper added 14 points, seven assists and four steals for Vanderbilt (8-1). Wirth became the first Commodores player to go 6-for-6 from the 3-point line.
Vanderbilt led 38-34 at halftime but used a late 10-0 run to put the game out of reach in the second half. The Commodores scored 31 points off 20 turnovers.
Fullerton led by six points in the first half before Vanderbilt used runs of 8-2 and 10-2 to take the halftime lead.
Lauren Chow, who led Fullerton (2-4) with 20 points, opened the second half with back-to-back 3s to tie it at 40.
Chow led Fullerton with six 3-pointers, and Jasmine Scott added 19 points.
