STILLWATER, Okla. -- Andrea Riley had 19 points and 10 assists and No. 24 Oklahoma State avenged a lopsided defeat by TCU (No. 22 ESPN/USA Today, No. 19 AP) a season earlier, beating the Horned Frogs 85-80 on Sunday.

Kristin Hernandez and Riley each hit two free throws in the final 24.1 seconds after TCU pulled within one.

Oklahoma State (4-2) rebounded from a 14-point loss eight days earlier to Arkansas-Little Rock by beating a TCU team that already had knocked off Maryland and California, both ranked No. 3 at the time.

Rachel Rentschler scored 18 points and Helen Sverrisdottir added 16 for TCU (8-3), which had won four of its previous five games against ranked foes.

The Horned Frogs managed only six offensive rebounds and committed 18 turnovers against Oklahoma State. TCU had 11 turnovers or less in each of its previous four games.

Oklahoma State blew an 11-point second-half lead and trailed 63-61 with 9:46 left, but Taylor Hardeman and Tegan Cunningham each had a 3-pointer in a 12-2 run that put the Cowgirls back in front.

TCU closed to 81-80 and had three chances in the final minute to take the lead, but missed all three attempts. Hernandez, who also scored 19 points, hit two free throws, and TCU's Melinda Mercado missed a 3-point attempt before Riley sealed the win with two more foul shots.

Texas Christian routed Oklahoma State 97-63 last season in Fort Worth after the Cowgirls had opened with eight straight wins. Riley scored only nine points in that game.

Oklahoma State extended its home winning streak against nonconference opponents to 27 games. The Cowgirls haven't lost consecutive nonconference games since 2005, but they hadn't played a ranked nonconference team at home in five years before Sunday.

The lead changed hands six times in the first half. TCU led by as many as five points, but a 19-4 run by Oklahoma State -- which featured two 3-pointers by Hardeman -- gave the Cowgirls a 35-22 lead with 6:47 left.

The Horned Frogs rallied and cut it to 45-41 at halftime. After falling behind again by double digits, Rentschler and Shayla Moore hit 3-pointers to start a 15-2 run that put TCU ahead 63-61.
